Welcome to Windfall Safaris

We are specialists in tailor-making sustainable experiences across Tanzania. We aim to design trips for families and those seeking a more personalised experience. Every itinerary is created for you in accordance with your priorities, pace and travel style.

Sustainability is the cornerstone of our company values. We align ourselves with environmentally conscious lodges, support community-led initiatives, and prioritise experiences that protect Tanzania’s wildlife and landscapes. From low-impact camps to conservation-focused guiding, we design safaris that give back to the communities that make them possible.

Our safaris take you through some of Tanzania’s most iconic destinations, the Serengeti, the Ngorongoro, Tarangire and Zanzibar to name just a few. All of these experiences blend exceptional wildlife viewing with meaningful cultural experiences. For families, we ensure that the pace of the adventure is one that allows for our young explorers to remain engaged and not be overwhelmed. For travellers celebrating something special or simply wanting extra privacy, we focus on carefully selected properties and unhurried experiences.

With experienced local guides and seamless planning from arrival to departure, every detail is handled with care. The end goal is a safari that feels immersive, responsible, and deeply personal, creating space for genuine connection — not just sightseeing.

Tanzania is the country in the world with the most wildlife per square kilometer. Tanzania is home to the Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino—as well as cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and over 500 bird species, especially in the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater.

Tanzania is a year-round safari destination. The dry season (June to October) offers excellent wildlife viewing, while the green season (November to May) brings fewer crowds, lush landscapes, and the Great Migration calving period. There are two rainy seasons, a short one in November and a longer one in March and April, which are great for safaris but might be better suited for a Zanzibar stay.

Windfall Safaris is a locally owned safari company specializing in tailor-made experiences in the country for the past 10 years. Our expert local guides, personalized service, and deep knowledge of wildlife ensure memorable safaris experiences.

Supporting Menstrual Health with Hedhi Huru

As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility commitment, we have partnered with Hedhi Huru, a Tanzanian menstrual health initiative that produces and distributes reusable menstrual kits to girls in government schools and marginalized communities.

In Tanzania, many girls miss school due to lack of access to menstrual materials. According to UNICEF, over 40% of girls are affected, with stigma and embarrassment further limiting education and confidence.

Hedhi Huru tackles this challenge through menstrual health education and the provision of reusable, long-lasting menstrual kits, helping girls stay in school while reducing environmental waste.

Each kit lasts up to three years and enables a girl to attend up to 100 additional school days per year, while reducing reliance on disposable, plastic-based sanitary products.
